District and All-State Band
District and All-State Band
District Honor Band is held Feb. 4-6, 2027
District Band Auditions will be held at Stallings Island Middle School on December 5th, 2026. Specific audition times will be announced closer to the audition date.
Students scoring well enough on their first audition will advance to the second round of All-State. Those auditions will be held on January 9th, 2027 at Union Grove Middle School in McDonough.

District auditions are held the first Saturday in December. Although we will prepare the material in class, students are encouraged to take private lessons to help prepare for this event. Deadline to register is September 23. Students can not be added after this deadline.

7th and 8th Grade students also have the opportunity to be nominated for UGA's MidFest Honor Band. This event takes place on December 10-12, 2026 in Athens, GA. Please let Mr. Bratton know if you would like to be nominated.

6th Grade students also have the opportunity to be nominated for the GMEA District 10 Beginning Honor Band. This event takes place in late March in Augusta, GA. Please let Mr. Bratton know if you are interested.
All-State 2025

All-State includes the same requirements as district plus 2 prepared solos. Students who register for all-state are competing against top students from across Georgia. It would be unusual for someone to make the All-State band without taking private lessons. See me for private tutor suggestions.
