Delays & Closures

Delays & Closures*

When extreme weather conditions prevail, the first concern is the welfare and safety for students, staff and families. Assessment of the weather, the weather forecast, and road conditions all factor into CCA's decision to have distance learning, in-person learning, or late start. This assessment will be done by CCA's Administration and Facilities Director by 6 am.

Please be sure you are signed up for Remind, as that will be the first form of communication (sign up by texting @ccanews to 81010). We will also send an email to all parents and update our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Please inform the Attendance Office when your student is tardy or absent.

*NOTE: CCA does not automatically follow the local school districts' plans for inclement weather.

E-days

E-days occur when CCA must cancel school due to extreme weather conditions (or other safety reasons). Every student, grades K-12, will participate in assigned work on these days. CCA has chosen to do this type of make-up day rather than adding additional school days during vacations or at the end of the school year.

When an E-day is called by Administration, teachers send out assignments (via email and/or Google Classroom) notifying K-12 students. E-day assignments are to be completed within one week of the E-day.
