Amanda Saxby
Although I was born in Colorado and still consider it a valuable part of my roots, I have become a fully-integrated Washingtonian. I love sports including volleyball and basketball and I have recently taken up the sport of snowboarding, but I am still not able to quite keep up with my husband, Craig.
Craig and I met in Spain in 2006 where we were both attending Sagunto Adventist College as ACA students from Walla Walla University. We returned to WWU and finished our degrees. We were married in the summer of 2012.
As a graduate of Auburn Adventist Academy (2004) and Walla Walla University (2010), I am a firm believer in Christian education. Since my graduation from WWU, God has led me to two different teaching opportunities. My first two years of teaching were done in a one-room school in Stanwood, Washington. Those first two years of teaching truly challenged me, but with God’s help I was able to survive and grow spiritually. Working in a one-room school gave me the opportunity to develop and strengthen my classroom management and creative teaching skills. In 2012, I began teaching junior high at CCA. Teaching this age group is a passion for me and I feel that I really excel in this area. Besides the core curriculum I teach my students life skills that will help them grow into successful students. I am so blessed to have a job I love.
