UPDATE SA AMING PECHAY
This week was devastating :( Due to unforeseen circumstances (krazy pisay weather), we couldn't be on campus for some time. Therefore, our plants weren't really taken care of. When we arrived at the campus, we were presented with some problem.
Our plants were destroyed!!!! 🙁🙁🙁
Reyal or Fake, Oh no, Reyal! Our plants were really destroyed.
We think it is because of the strong winds brought by the storm that ruined our plants since it was placed on the corridor and near the railings of the Science Research Facility (SRF). However, some of my classmates think that cats might have possibly bothered or played with them since there were some lingering around the facility. (Although I think they're pretty innocent because wala namag proof! Why blame the cats?) We really do not know what happened, but it was sad to see it destroyed since we did work really hard for it 🥲 (Sayang effort talaga ma'am, lahat ng ginawa namin san napunta!?!?!? HUHUHU)
From the pictures, we can see the inconsistencies brought by the unlucky weather - some seedlings did grow a little bit, but some seeds were now exposed, which was not supposed to be like that; there was also almost no soil in other trays, and for some, literal na walang soil as loob. The seed trays were also sabog-sabog and scattered, plus, our labels were missing. Raiver tried to fix it by digging it further and spraying it with water, but it was still not good enough for us (we'll see next week) because there might be an unpredictable circumstance that will hinder us from growing these plants (I really hope nothing happens since I wanna see how they grow)
For the remaining time in our class, Ma'am Reg continued with our discussions and assigned us our alternative assessment.
I really think sobra sobra na yung pagiging unlucky namin this quarter HAHAHAHSHA. I had really hoped for this project to turn out successful para ma-flex ko na nakapagtanim kami sa Agri class sa Pisay, but Pisay weather (or the cats??? JK innocent until proven guilty!) had other plans 😎 Jokes aside, we tried to make other plans if we really have no choice. In case of emergencies, we decided that Sielby, who also brought the seedlings, would be the one to plant it at their home since she (and her mom) knows more about growing plants. We believe that she is capable of taking care of them and be a good plantita ( plantita yarn!?!?)
Hence, this week, we also had no measurable data to take note of, but only observations (na sira sila 😭) that weren't really good. We should have considered these factors that may have ruined our plants and put them in better places. Moreover, I realized how big the responsibility of farmers are in terms of farming for different crops knowing how bad the weather can get - either too hot or too rainy. Kung ngayon pa nga lang nahihirapan na kami, paano pa kaya sila? We hope that next week, Raiver's powers would help our plants grow even just a little bit. 💚
