CBSUA-Calabanga Leads Relief Efforts After Typhoon Kristine
In the wake of Typhoon Kristine, CBSUA-Calabanga led relief initiatives for evacuees and stranded students, including setting up a community pantry to support volunteers involved in relief and rehabilitation efforts. An academic break was declared from October 28-31, 2024 to allow the campus to focus on recovery and rehabilitation.
The campus also collaborated with other CBSUA campuses to launch the Pagtanom nin Paglaom Donation Drive. This initiative provided food packs to students and employees in need. Additionally, Angat Buhay dorm residents, alongside BSFi faculty members, repacked the in-kind donations from Cophagen Infrastructure Partners, headed by Engr. Nathanael Alviso.
In a post, Dr. Doloso, Campus Administrator of CBSUA-Calabanga, expressed gratitude to the community for their efforts in cleaning and restoring the campus and aiding in the distribution of relief goods. He also extended thanks to donors, stating, "The Office of the Campus Administrator and the entire CBSUA-Calabanga community would like to thank everyone for your unwavering love, support, and assistance in assuring the welfare of the students, employees, and people within and beyond our community."
Classes and work are expected to resume on November 4, 2024.
