CBSUA Hosts Seminar-Workshop on Multi-Grade Teaching for Future Educators
BEED 2 students from the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) gathered for an insightful Seminar-Workshop titled "Innovate and Elevate: Mastering New Trends in Multi-grade Teaching" at the CBSUA Research Conference Room last February 27, 2025.
The event began with welcome remarks by Dr. Nilda Olores, the BEED Chairperson, followed by an introduction of the esteemed resource speaker, Ms. Jessica B. Julio, by Mr. Raul Valiente.
The morning session of the seminar was divided into two parts. The first segment, "Understanding the Multi-grade Classroom—Realities, Challenges, and Opportunities," provided participants with an in-depth exploration of the unique dynamics of multi-grade classrooms. The second part, "Managing Multi-grade Classrooms Effectively: Practical Approaches and Strategies in Designing Lessons," offered actionable insights into lesson planning and classroom management.
In the afternoon, the seminar transitioned into an interactive workshop, where participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on lesson planning and demonstration teaching, reinforcing the morning's discussions with practical application.
The seminar-workshop was conducted by Mr. Jordan Lauron, the instructor for Teaching in Multi-grade Class, and was organized by the Guild of Elementary Mentors (GEM) under the leadership of John Paul Benaid, a student from BEED 2.
This event provided invaluable learning experiences for future educators, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively navigate the complexities of multi-grade classrooms and elevate their teaching practices.

Magarao National High School Celebrates Achievements and Teacher Intern Contributions in Multiple Events
Magarao National High School (MNHS) recently hosted a series of events, showcasing the dedication of both students and teacher interns at the school. On February 25, 2025, BSE-English pre-service teacher Angelo C. Delima, alongside Judith Romanillos from BISCAST, served as one of the masters of ceremony during the Third Quarter Awarding Ceremony for Achievers for the school year 2024-2025 school year.
In addition to their roles in the award ceremony, MNHS teacher interns played a part in designing the stage for the Training of Teachers on Microsoft Productivity Tools for DEPED Computerization Program Adaption, held on February 19-21, 2025. This event served to enhance teaching skills and adapt digital tools for the upcoming changes in the curriculum.
On February 14, 2025, they also took part in the Benefit Dance, themed “Hearts in Harmony: A Valentine’s Day”. The event not only provided an opportunity for the community to come together but also raised funds for the Pathwalk and assistance for the Palarong CamSur 2025.

COE Today | CBSUA Field Study Students Observe Pre-Service Teachers at Union Elementary School
Third-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) field study students from Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) conducted the second part of their Teaching Observation at Union Elementary School (UES), as part of their Field Study 1 subject last January 24, 2025. This observation was held under the guidance of Dean Dr. Jenelyn Aguelo. The students were tasked with observing fourth-year BEED Pre-Service Teachers from CBSUA – Calabanga.
UES Principal II, Leonardo Beldua Jr., welcomed the students at the start of the session and emphasized the critical importance of adhering to teacher standards, setting the tone for a day of valuable learning.

Dr. Aguelo expressed heartfelt appreciation to Principal Beldua and UES for their unwavering support in providing CBSUA students with this enriching learning opportunity.
To honor their contributions, a Certificate of Commendation was presented to Principal Beldua for his assistance in the field study program. A similar certificate was awarded to the cooperating teachers, recognizing their commitment to extending professional teaching practices.

Teacher Interns Support 6B Implementation at Don Servillano Platon Memorial National High School
Teacher interns took part in the 6B Implementation through a Multi-Stakeholder Approach: LAC/Capacity Training for Volunteer Reading Teachers in English at Don Servillano Platon Memorial National High School on February 12, 2025. The trained volunteer reading teachers will conduct reading tutorials and remediation sessions through CT-ST schedules to assist identified learners. Ms. Catherine Dela Torre Abiog served as the resource person for the training.

Pre-Service Teachers Receive Office Supplies at Bagacay National High School
The pre-service teachers of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture - Calabanga received office supplies during the Teacher’s Conference of Bagacay National High School, led by School Head Mariano B. Olalo. The initiative aimed to equip future educators with essential materials, reinforcing the school's commitment to supporting their practicum journey. By providing these resources, the event sought to enhance the preparedness and efficiency of pre-service teachers as they gain hands-on classroom experience.

The Teacher-Education Students' Society successfully conducted its Leadership Training and Team Building activity on February 7, 2025, at the Audio-Visual Room of CBSUA-Calabanga.
The program commenced with opening remarks from Dr. Anna Liza P. Bordado, the adviser of the Teacher-Education Students' Society. This was followed by an inspirational message from Dr. Christian C. Vega, Chairperson of the Office of the Student Affairs and Services, which motivated the officers, assistants, and facilitators to strive for excellence.
Moreover, Mr. Kenneth R. Leoder of Antipolo National High School was invited as the guest speaker of the leadership training. He discussed the essentials of what makes “An Organization,” including legacy, consistency, initiative, and the importance of “End Goals,” such as programs, projects, and initiatives. Mr. Edwin S. Breva Jr., the BSE Chairperson of the College of Education and a former TESS president, was also invited as the resource speaker for the said event. Mr. Breva gave a deeper meaning for “BRAVE”: Be a Role Model, Reach Out and Listen, Adapt to Challenges, Value Teamwork, and Empower Others.
After the leadership training, the officers, assistants, and facilitators enjoyed the feisty boodle fight prepared by our fellow officers. Then, actively engaged and participated in the games prepared in order to develop trust and encourage collaboration among the participants. At the end of the night, participants shared their insights and takeaways from the activity. The program was then formally ended by Mr. Jordan R. Lauron, the co-adviser of the Teacher-Education Students’ Society, by giving their inspiring closing remarks.
