The College of Education deployed 134 BSE students to 4 cooperating schools namely, Jose de Villa National High School, Calabanga National High School, Jose Prevosa Sr. National High School, and Quipayo National High School for their Field study from November 29 to December 13, 2024.

Pre-Service Teachers Attend Pre-Departure Orientation Ahead of Friday Deployment
Senior College of Education students attended a pre-departure orientation at the Student Center, facilitated by Dr. Aurora Desmonte, Mr. Jerome Hipolito, and Mr. Salomon Azanes Jr. The graduating class officers organized the event, led by Mr. Joshua Molleda.
The orientation covered key details of the two-week Field Study Assistantship Program, set to begin on Friday, November 29, 2024 for BSe and on Monday, December 2, 2024 for BEED, in various cooperating schools. Topics included the program schedule, important reminders, and required forms.

Reference Teacher-Education Students' Society (TESS)
COE names Five Scholars for the Asisten-Dela Torre Financial Assistance Program for SY 2024–2025
Dr. Anna Liza Bordado, Mr. Salomon Azanes Jr., Mr. Jerome Hipolito, and Dr. Aurora Besmonte facilitated the distribution of financial assistance provided by alumni Mr. Rolando Asisten and Engr. Jerry James De la Torre. This support has helped cover the expenses of selected scholars. Starting SY 2022–2023, the two alumni have generously contributed ₱2,000 each per month to five BSE 4Math students, from September to June of each school year.
For SY 2024–2025 (Batch 3), scholars include Jessa Mae Gonzaga (BSE Math 4), Ericka May Isaac (BSE Math 4), Roan V. Navarez (BSE Math 3A), Sharina Joy N. Nudo (BSE Math 3A), and John Lloyd P. Bergonio (BSE Math 3A), chosen through a two-phase screening process.
Batch 2 scholars (SY 2023–2024) were Roy Asoro, Eloisa Benaid, Charlotte Buenafe, Shaan Mae Obias, and Sandy Triño Jr., while Batch 1 (SY 2022–2023) included Emmanuel Agravante, LPT, Princess Coner, LPT, Mildred Laure, LPT, Cindy Claraise Loreto, LPT, and Aljon Maulion, LPT.
About the Benefactors
Mr. Rolando Asisten: A former Assistant Principal for Academics at Ateneo de Naga High School, he later taught in the US at institutions such as Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Southside Academy of Environmental Science, and Baltimore City Public Schools, where he served as Math Department Chair. In 2013, he co-facilitated Math Works in AP Statistics, a professional development program in Baltimore. He holds a Master’s Degree in Education (Mathematics) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Mathematics) from Ateneo de Naga University. He also holds certifications in Data Science, Nursing, Special Education, CISCO Networking, AWS Cloud Solutions, and programming languages such as Python, R, and .NET. As a content creator, he established platforms like Asisten and German Academy, Math Avenue: Learn Math Daily, and Bicol Math Avenue, which teach math in the Bicol language.
Engr. Jerry James De la Torre: A Professional Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer (5th Placer, Philippine Board Exam 1998), he earned his MS in Food Engineering from Ohio State University as a Fulbright scholar and is now pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at De La Salle University. He also runs an internship program for engineering students in the Philippines.
This new cohort of scholars marks a transition from exclusively senior students to a mix of senior and junior scholars.

COE Schedules Field Study Assistantship
The College of Education (COE) of CBSUA-Calabanga has scheduled the deployment of Field Study students for their Field Study Assistantship from December 2 to 13, 2024. However, as requested by the high school principals, BSE field study students will be deployed earlier, on November 29, 2024.
Field Study instructors and Internship In-Charge, Dr. Aurora Besmonte, Mr. Salomon Azanes Jr., and Mr. Jerome Hipolito, conducted an orientation for DepEd principals about the assistantship's nature and objectives last November 26-27, 2024.

College of Education Holds Senior Orientation Seminar
The College of Education (COE), in collaboration with the Officers of the Graduating Class led by Mr. Joshua Molleda, conducted the Senior Orientation Seminar (OrSem) on November 20, 2024. Held at the ground floor of the campus library, the event introduced senior students to the Pre-Service Teachers Enhancement Program, outlining key activities essential for their field study and internship courses.
Highlights of the program included sessions on FS and Internship Deployment, Meeting the Mentors, Pre-Service Teachers Seminar-Workshop, Simulation Interview, and the Commissioning Rite. Dr. Aurora Besmonte and Mr. Jerome Hipolito served as facilitators for the seminar, ensuring an engaging and informative experience for all attendees.
During the event, point persons for each Cooperating School were officially designated, providing seniors with essential contacts as they prepare for their professional journey.
The College of Education remains committed to equipping future educators with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the teaching field.
