This independent study course is designed to move from the transaction side of accounting to the analysis side. This course will comprise of case studies focused on financial statement analysis, fraud, and other advanced accounting concepts. Additionally, students will study how accounting and information systems are interrelated through a course-long project where students will create an accounting information system.
This class is a full year course.
During the 2020-2021 school year, a weekly agenda will be provided to students and families so they can anticipate what lessons and assignments are upcoming. Due to the fluid nature of teaching, as well as the current learning environment, this agenda may change as the week evolves.
