Hello there listener! Were so glad that you came to check out our album! Our group name "Soundpost" was inspired by the soundpost, an important part of our string instruments (Thanks Mr. Black for the name idea!) We put a lot of time into composing our songs so that hopefully you will like listening to them. Enjoy the music!!
Our Group composition in a way takes part of each of our compositions and combines them into one beautiful piece of music. It includes part of the music which convey multiple emotions and styles of music. All together a beautiful piece.
Jayde and Bailey created this music based off a hike at sunset during midsummer. They were going for a more calm/laid-back style of music, something peaceful and reflective of the colors and the picture. Thus, their group built off of descriptors like tranquility, ethereality, and adventure. They wanted to mimic the style of a hike with the structure of our music so they started with a few base layers of music, continually added till it reached a peak, and then stripped layers away till it returned back to the base layer.
Sidnie and Paris’ song is based around the thought of courage, something this cat seems to have. The scene is set as a movie would be with a defined beginning, middle, and end. The “character” of the music develops into a more confident tone and when the beat drops, it signifies the climax, similar to a big battle scene. Finally, when the music returns to a much more cheerful tone, it means the resolution of the climax and a return to happiness. The element of the cat is hidden within the song in the form of a lion’s roar, the utmost representation of courage.
Corwin and Conner created this song titled "Roman Sky." It depicts the pleasing sky, pleasant trees, beautiful mountains and smooth, yet calmful waters of the picture. This song is about the nature of our planet, the beautiful paradise of our Earth depicted in the sweet sound of the guitar part. The calmer vibe of the song helps to bring the listener into the feeling of being surrounded in the nature of the photo. A wonderful representation of the album photo.
By Jayde
In order to get the assignment done and turned in, Jayde chose to give themselves motivation by making the song entertaining and fun to make. Along with some carefully chosen beats, some scenes from the iconic movie Shrek were added, hence the title “What Are You Doing in My Swamp.” The song is a creative joke, and just so happens to be woven together in a creative manner to hopefully make the listener laugh after the first exclamation of that one iconic line is heard in the first couple seconds of the song. The song caters to the listener’s sense of humor, as well as their sense of nostalgia.
By Bailey
Bailey's composition was meant to recreate the feeling of being in summer. It reminds her of the opening of a movie where the main character drives along the beach and there’s a montage of them from different angles with this song playing. It’s meant to mirror that summer freedom you always feel as well as having your head in the clouds and constantly being in a good mood.
By Sidnie
At the time of writing this song, Sidnie chose to write her song based around them being tired. also featured in the song is a more spooky vibe given to represent Halloween which was approaching around the time this song was wrote. this song is a creative way to represent the tiredness of a student around that time and the idea of nightmares spooking their sleep. the hope is to get the listener to feel the spookiness as if they are going through a small nightmare themselves or just simply in the spooky mood.
Thanks for listening to our music! if you liked our music... We recommend checking out some of the other groups compositions to! We hope you enjoyed!!
