This song was inspired by the sunset sunrise. The piece symbolizes the process of the sun slowly setting into the dark night then at the start of the next day the sun begins to rise again. Most think of nighttime as something scary and mysterious. But the songwriters wanted to show that the night can also be a time of hope. Even in the dark, little pockets of light can still be found in the form of stars. Stars represent the small scraps of hope that we can hang on to until better times come. As the sun starts to rise, a new start and a better future is in sight. This is demonstrated in the piece as it slowly fades into happier tones towards the end of the piece; the happy tones and beats represent the sunrise and the start of a new day with new opportunities.
This piece was inspired by the ocean. They chose to use softer beats and instrumentals at the beginning of the song to symbolize the morning when tides softly come in and not many people are at the beach. As the song progresses, the music gets louder and more upbeat. This symbolizes the afternoon when lots of people gather at the beach. People are laughing and having fun, which is why they added some funky beats during the middle of the song. At the end of the song, it returns to the somber feel of the beginning. Much like the morning, at night fewer people are at the beach and it is very relaxing.
This song is about how there are multiple games out in the world. Many have the similar story lines , or have a series of other games to go along with it that include mix of different songs. The artists wanted to convey in their song a mix of things from other games that represent the variety of songs you could possibly hear when playing a game. While composing, the artists learned to collaborate effectively with each other when they had opposing ideas. They also discovered that sharing the same interest helped the collaboration process move smoothly.
Together as a group we were supposed to come up with a song that we thought would be good for the album. Everyone in our group has a different taste in music, so the artists chose to create something that isn't limited to one genre. We worked together to make this song and create one that everyone could enjoy. It has some dramatic changes, but this is intentional. We like to think of the song as a journey through different genres, something that is inclusive to all people and their music preferences. This can be seen through the sheer length of the song, where about every thirty seconds a new genre or idea is explored. The song may be 10 minutes long but that was intentional. The artists felt that the song needed to be that long to completely convey the message of the piece.
