Our Mission...

Music Parents and Friends was founded in the late 1990’s as a way for parents to help foster their son’s musical education at CBA. In its early years, the group was needed to fundraise for even the most basic of music classroom needs. They purchased and rented music, chairs, bass drums and stages (to name a few). As the music department evolved, so did MPF and its service. They have provided scholarships to music camps and Florida trips, and they have helped outfit our state of the art rehearsal space with top-line instruments and equipment. One thing that has never changed over the years is the light-hearted nature of the group combined with a fierce willingness to fill whatever need arises. The group is most visible at concert receptions and the Pops Concert, but the work they do behind the scenes is what really makes the music program shine.
