Beginner Lessons
If your son is new to band, played a string instrument or would like to pursue a new instrument, please fill out the google form bySeptember 30th to get on the “Lessons Only” roster.
Concert Band
Concert Band
Concert Band is geared for students with minimal experience in a band setting. Rehearsals are a part of the academic schedule and students meet twice in a four day cycle. Musicians work on listening to each other while following a conductor, and they rehearse to perform in at least two concerts a year. Students who transfer from another school are placed in Concert Band until they can be auditioned into the other ensembles.

Symphonic Band
Symphonic Band
Symphonic Band is for students performing at a NYSSMA level 2-3. Students work to advance their musicianship and rehearsal technique and are challenged with more advanced literature. Rehearsals are scheduled twice in the 4 day cycle

Wind Ensemble
Wind Ensemble
Wind Ensemble is for musicians performing at a NYSSMA level 4-6. Students are required to meet audition requirements in order to participate and are expected to continue to grow musically each year. The group performs at all department concerts as well as the CBA Honor's Nights and CBA's Graduation Ceremony.

Jazz Ensemble is an elective performance group that is by invitation only. Students work on traditional jazz literature and learn the beginning skills of improvisation. Rehearsals are scheduled twice in the 4 day cycle

Marching Band
Marching Band
Marching Band meets every drill day and is comprised of ALL musicians grade 9-12 in BOTH Symphonic & Wind (not Concert or Jazz). The marching band performs publicly with the brigade at local parades and travels to perform in outside parades (like Disney) as well.
Jr. High Marchers are invited to train/drill with us based on their ability & behavior
