2026 Keynote: Bethany Koenig
From student teaching at the Whitehall-Coplay Middle School to leading it today, Principal Bethany Koenig has spent her entire career as a proud Zephyr. A dedicated advocate for the profession, Bethany has combined building leadership with statewide impact through the #PANeedsTeachers coalition and the Educational Policy and Leadership Center. But beyond the degrees and policy work, Bethany's heart remains firmly in the classroom and the daily impact educators have on their students.
As we kick off the 2026-2027 school year, it’s time to put down the "to-do" lists and refocus on the heartbeat of our profession: the students sitting right in front of us. In this opening keynote, we will reset our intentions and rediscover the spark that brought us to education in the first place. Let’s commit to showing up for our kids and being the teacher we truly needed when we were students.
