CAT'N AROUND CATSKILL 2020
"Space Cat" is officially on display across from the community center on Main Street!! I hope everyone can safely check it out - it will be up for the whole summer. What a great opportunity to have our artwork on display in our community!!

Choose one of the weekly challenges to create by yourself or with a sibling
The "Weekly Challenge" will be a choice for the rest of the school year. 5th graders, you may remember this from last year as the "Brown Bag Challenge".
Open up the google doc attached with the 7 different challenges. Choose one to complete. If you want to do this each week, there are enough to choose a different one each time. If you have siblings, you can collaborate and work together on the same challenge!
Use whatever materials you have available to you at home. You can draw it, paint it, print it, collage it, or build it. Maybe you have extra cardboard, tape, glue, construction paper, newspapers, yarn, legos, clay.....try out what you have

Make your own chalk paint and create a painting of your choice with it

Create a collage with pictures cut out of magazines or newspapers
DIRECTIONS:
Find some old magazines or newspapers. Cut out pictures that are interesting to you. Arrange them on a piece of paper and glue them down.
Tell a story with your pictures. You can overlap them, draw on them, or add details around them with a pencil, crayon, or markers. Fill the space of your paper with your pictures. Are the pictures talking-what will they say? What is in the background?
You can even write a story or poem about your collage!
