Head Coach Donnie Welborn has coached wrestling throughout his teaching career, producing state champions and a reputable program. Coach Welborn was a former state wrestling champion for LFO, as well as Mr. LFO before graduating in 1990. He attended the University of West Georgia and graduated in 1997. He currently teaches Economics for LFO and participates in Ironman competitions in his free time. Coach Welborn is the luckiest man on Earth because he convinced his wife Lori to marry him in 2000. They currently reside in Fort Oglethorpe with their son, Beau.

Coach Greg Tallent is a 2016 graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. After graduating from LFO, Coach Tallent spent four years at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga graduating in 2020. He currently teaches World History at LFO and is an assistant coach for LFO’s wrestling team.
