Mac Bryan

Head Football Coach / Offensive Coordinator / Offensive Line

Coach Bryan enters his 2nd season as Head Coach of the Warriors. A native of Traphill, N.C., he played at North Wilkes High School before continuing his playing career and education at Appalachian State University. He also served as a graduate-assistant for the Mountaineers.

In 1983, he became the Offensive Coordinator at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. In 1986, Coach Bryan took over as Head Coach for the Bobcats and led them to 5 straight bowl games, and finished the years as the #1 ranked team in the NJCAA in 1987. He was also named Region 10 Coach of the Year three times. After a stint as the Offensive Line Coach at Southern Miss, he took over as Head Coach of Boiling Springs High in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, from 1994-1999. Coach Bryan led the Bulldogs to 8 wins in 1996, the most wins in a season for the school since 1965.

After serving as Offensive Coordinator for the newly formed Pikeville College (Ky.) Club team in 2000, he moved to UT-Chattanooga, where he remained from 2001-2003, serving as the Assistant Head Coach, while coaching the offensive and defensive line. During the 2004 season, Coach Bryan served as the Offensive Line Coach at Newberry College (S.C.), before becoming the Head Coach at Emerald High School in Greenwood, South Carolina in 2005. After leading Emerald to an 11-3 record and being named the Region Coach of the Year, he became the Head Coach at Pikeville College, from 2006-2008.

In 2009, Coach Bryan moved back to the high school ranks, serving as the Head Coach at Enka High School in Asheville, N.C. for 1 year. The following year, he became the Co-Offensive Coordinator at UT-Martin, and remained there until 2012. In 2013, he returned to Chattanooga as the Head Coach at Ooltewah High School, and remained there for 5 years. During his stint with the Owls, he compiled a 45-16 record, was a 3-Time Region Coach of the Year, reached the playoffs in all 5 years, and the state quarterfinals twice. In 2018, Coach Bryan was named the Head Coach at Avery County High School in Newland, N.C., where he remained until this year.

During his coaching career, Coach Bryan has helped numerous players reach the collegiate and professional level. He is excited to be back in an area that he considers home and looks to turn LFO into a place that people think of when they think about high school football in Northwest Georgia.

Coach Bryan resides in Fort Oglethorpe with his wife, Vickie. Together, they have two daughters and 3 grandchildren. 

Nicholas Dunn

Co-Defensive Coordinator / Linebackers 

Coach Dunn is a 2008 graduate of LFO and a former Warrior football player. He enters his 16th year of coaching high school football, and has coached in Tennessee and Georgia.

Coach Dunn began his coaching career at LFO, working under then Defensive Line coach, David Beard. Coach Dunn also served as the Defensive Line Coach at Notre Dame High School for 3 years. While at Notre Dame, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Exceptional Education.

Coach Dunn is married to Sara Dunn, and they have three beautiful daughters, Stella, Nora, and Emma Dunn. He teaches Self-Contained Special Education at LFO, and since returning to LFO he has coached football, baseball and served as the Head Boys Soccer Coach. 

TC Guyer

Co-Defensive Coordinator / Secondary 

Coach Guyer starts his 2nd year LFO, and his 13th year of coaching overall. The Canton, North Carolina native was a four-year football letterman for Pisgah High School. After high school, he attended Mars Hill University and soon became a Student-Assistant for the Lions. While at Mars Hill, he was a member of the 2011 South Atlantic Conference Championship team that competed in the NCAA Division II playoffs. 

After graduating from Mars Hill in 2015, with a degree in Health/Physical Education, Coach Guyer became the Head Coach at Douglas Byrd Middle School in Fayetteville, N.C. where he compiled a 6-2 record. In 2016, he moved to Avery County High School in Newland, North Carolina and remained there until 2021. While at Avery, he served as Assistant Head Coach, Defensive Line Coach, and Defensive Backs Coach. He, along with Coach Bryan, was instrumental in helping turn the Avery Viking Football Program into a playoff team in 2019.

In 2021, Coach Guyer moved to Manchester, TN and served as the Defensive Backs/Passing Game Coordinator for the Coffee County Central High football team. While at CCCHS, Coach Guyer helped the Red Raider Program, that on the back of their defense, finished 3rd in Region 3-6A, captured their first 4 game win-streak since 2003, and secured their first playoff appearance since 2016. During his career, Coach Guyer has coached 6 All-State players, 29 All-Region players, 5 All-Western North Carolina players, 1 Conference Player of the Year, and has coached 3 Division 1 athletes, and 13 other collegiate athletes.

Coach Guyer is married to Laiken Guyer, who is from Newland, North Carolina. The couple reside in Ringgold with their daughter, Raelyn Harper, and dog, Whiskey. 

Charlie Wiggins

Outside Linebackers / JV Head Coach

Coach Wiggins in entering his 8th year coaching and teaching at LFO, and his 29th season of coaching at the collegiate or high school level. The Pensacola, FL native graduated from Ernest Ward High School in 1986, where he lettered in football, baseball, basketball, and track. After graduation, he attended Maryville College to play football, and graduated with a BA in Biology in 1992. He then became a Graduate Assistant at UT-Martin, while earning his MBA in 1995. 

In 1996, he was an assistant coach at Georgetown College (Ky). While at GC, he had 3 All-Conference linemen, 1 All-American, and an All-Conference Tight End. The following Spring, he returned to Maryville, where he remained for 5 years. While at MC, he had 2 All-Americans and 1 Academic All-American. 

In 2002, Coach Wiggins became the Head Coach at Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga. During his 7 years there, his teams reached the semifinals twice. In 2009, he became the Pass Game Coordinator at LaFayette, before serving as the Offensive Coordinator at Gordon Lee in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, as the Head Coach at Gordon Lee, Coach Wiggins guided them to their first playoff game in six years. 

Coach Wiggins is married to Tracy Wiggins, and has two daughters, Ashton and Bailey, and one son, Brock. 

Jacob Gilbert

Running Backs and Quarterbacks / Special Teams Coordinator

Coach Gilbert, a 2014 graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High, enters his 2nd season coaching the Warriors. As a student at LFO, he lettered all four years for the Warrior Football and Track & Field Teams from 2010-2013.

Prior to returning to LFO, Coach Gilbert played and coached at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. While a player for GVU, he was part of four consecutive conference titles and playoff berths (2014-2017). He then served as a Graduate Assistant in 2019 and 2020, when the Vikings made it to the NAIA Football Semi-Finals and Quarterfinals, respectively. 

In his final year as the Outside Linebackers Coach for GVU, the Vikings made it to the NAIA National Championship and finished the season as National Runners-Up and 14-1 overall.

Coach Gilbert received his undergraduate in Political Studies; Public Administration, and his Masters in Organizational Leadership. He is the son of Randy and Henrietta Gilbert, and the brother of Laura Hartline, Brandon Gilbert, and Haley Gilbert.  

Cody Commons

Assistant Secondary / Quarterbacks

Coach Commons, a 2010 graduate of LFO, returns for his 2nd year as the Assistant Defensive Backs Coach. Coach Commons was a 4 year letterman in football, playing Quarterback, Slot Receiver and Cornerback for the Warriors. He was also a 4 year letterman on the baseball diamond, playing right field and center field.

After graduating, Coach Commons went on to play college baseball at Cleveland State Community College, where he was 2 year starter.

Coach Commons is married to Kayla Commons, and has 3 children, Lilly, King, and Cali. He is excited about being back at LFO and having the opportunity to coach Warrior Football. 

Tucker Wilson

Defensive Line

Coach Wilson begins his 12th year of coaching football, and this will be his 1st as the Defensive Line Coach for the Warriors. Coach Wilson graduated from LFO in 2011 as Mr. LFO. During his time as a student, he was a 3 year letterman in football as a standout center, while helping the Warriors make a long overdue return to the post season. He also letterer 2 years in track and field, throwing both shot put and discus. Before coaching for the Warriors, he spent time coaching offensive line at Ringgold, LFO and Notre Dame of Chattanooga, where he reached the post-season at all three schools. 

Coach Wilson is a graduate of Western Governors University where he received a bachelor's degree in special education. Coach Wilson is happily married to Taylor Wilson, who is also a 2011 graduate of LFO. They are blessed with a beautiful 7 year old daughter named Kennedy Bell. Coach Wilson and his family love LFO and love having the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young adults every day. 

Travis Sabdo

Wide Receivers

A 2015 graduate of Havelock High School in Eastern North Carolina, Coach Sabdo makes his debut on the sideline for the Warriors, and starts his 7th year coaching. During his time in high school, he appeared in 4 state title games, and won 3 in a row as Quarterback for the Rams. Coach Sabdo currently owns the record for passing yards in a career, touchdowns in a career and most wins (33) as a starting quarterback in Havelock history. After graduation, Coach Sabdo went on to play at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. After a semester, he transferred to Chowan University. After a year of playing, he was a Student Assistant for Chowan, where he served as Quarterbacks Coach and Equipment Manager. 

Coach Sabdo received his degree in Social Studies Education with a minor in Mathematics in 2019 and then returned to his alma mater as the Offensive Coordinator, posting an 11-1 record and reached the North Carolina 3A State Championship, where his team lost to state champ, Charlotte Catholic. 

Coach Sabdo is currently engaged to his wonderful fiance Taylor, and together they have 2 Siberian Huskies. 

Larry Hall

Y Backs/Assistant Offensive Line

A 2004 graduate of LFO, Coach Hall makes his way back to the sidelines to proudly serve his Alma-Mater. Coach Hall was a part of one of the winningest teams in LFO school history, compiling an overall 28-6 record. He appeared in the GHSA Playoffs 3 times, leading LFO to their first ever playoff win in school history. A member of the 2002 Co-Region Champion team, Coach Hall was nominated Team Captain his senior year, selected 2nd Team All-Region, nominated to the 2003 GA/TN All-Star Team, and was a member of the first team to beat Dalton in LFO history.

After graduation, Coach Hall continued his football career at Shorter University, where he was a 2 year starter, and a member of the first team in school history.

Coach Hall received his Associated of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from GNTC in 2010, and finished his Bachelor's Degree at Bethel University in 2012 and is currently working as a realtor. Coach Hall is happily married to Jessica Hall (LFO Class of 2005), and together they have two wonderful boys, Asher and Mason.
