11 athletes competed at the State Qualifier meet. Congratulations to the girls 4x200m relay team on breaking their own school record from earlier in the season. Athlete of the meet to Isabella Wilkins and Carsen Hoag.
Section champs!! Both teams came up with the win at the Section 3 Class D Championship meet. The girls won a close fought contest against West Canada Valley and Tully, while the boys continued to dominate with a big win over Remsen. Over the weekend Maggie Brown traveled to NYC to compete in the Ocean Breeze Invitational against over 5,000 other athletes! She placed 3rd in her event, the pentathlon.
The teams contested the league championship at OCC. The girls came up just short against Bishop Ludden by a score of 102 to 100.5. First team all-league status was earned by Maggie Brown and Lucy Brown. Second team all-league status was earned by Isabella Wilkins and Emelia Fisher. Congratulations to Emelia on breaking the school record in the 25-pound weight throw, with a toss of 33 feet 10 inches. The previous record was set four years ago by Jocelyn Smith.
The boys came away with the win in dominating fashion. Beating second place Tully by a score of 187 to 74. First team all-league status was earned by Xander Schutt, Landon Gillmore, Logan Smith, Micah Muhlnickel, William Brathen, Miles Muhlnickel, Owen Garrigan, and Carsen Hoag. Second team all-league status was earned by Everett Cox, Adam Hulsizer, Kagan Dello Stritto, and Lucas Conklin.

The indoor track teams concluded the regular season at OCC. The seniors were honored at the beginning of the meet with a Senior Walk. Congratulations to Eli Zappala for setting a new school record in the 35 pound weight throw. The record was set last week by Owen Garrigan. Athlete of the meet to Ella Harkness and Eli Zappala.
The indoor track teams continued their season over the weekend at OCC. The girls team placed 6th out of 20 teams. Maggie Brown won the long jump with a jump of 17 feet and 2 inches. Congratulations to the 4 by 200 meter relay team of Peyton Knox, Maggie Brown, Victoria Schutt, and Isabella Wilkins on setting a new school record. The previous record was held by Miranda Dennis, Chelsea Dennison, Alyssa Cola, and Ariana Proper. It had stood since 2022.
The boys team came away from the meet in first place. Emerging victorious over the other 19 teams. The boys were led by a 1-2 finish in the 600meter run from Landon Gillmore and Everett Cox. Congratulations to Owen Garrigan for setting a new school record in the 35 pound weight throw. The record was last set two weeks ago by Eli Zappala.

The indoor track teams competed over winter break at OCC on Friday. Maggie Brown reached the state qualifying standard in high jump, with a jump of 5 feet. Lucy Brown won the pole vault with a jump of 8 feet.

First Xander Schutt broke the 300meter record which was set one week ago by Landon Gillmore. Next Eli Zappala broke the weight throw record which has stood since 2024 when it was set by Logan Burnett.
On the girls side, Maggie Brown reached the state qualifying standard in long jump, with a jump of 17 feet 0.5 inches.

Yesterday the indoor track teams opened their seasons. The boys team claimed two first place finishes with Landon Gillmore in the 600meter run and Everett Cox in the 1,000meter run. The team also broke three school records. Landon Gillmore broke the 600meter record, which was set three years ago by Merritt Cox. Everett Cox broke the 1,000meter record, which was also set three years earlier by his brother Merritt. Lastly the 4 by 200meter relay team of Lucas Dorgan, Landon Gillmore, Micah Muhlnickel, and Xander Schutt claimed a new record in that even, beating the previous team of Landon, Xander, Isaiah Shaffer, and Camren Hoag from two years ago.
On the girls side, they also claimed two first place finishes with Maggie Brown winning long jump and Lucy Brown winning the pole vault. The girls team also managed to break three school records. First Maggie Brown beat her own record in the hurdles. Next, Isabella Wilkins beat her own record in the 55meter dash. Lastly, Lucy Brown in the pole vault cleared a height of 8 feet to break a record that has stood for 28 years and was held by Shayna Burgdorf.
