Hydro Tasmania’s education outreach program, Generation Hydro, provides a variety of ways for students and teachers to learn about our history, how hydropower is generated in Tasmania, how we manage native flora and fauna in and around our lakes and rivers and what renewable energy options are used in Tasmania.
We are offering exciting hands-on class talks at your school now. Class talks are for primary and secondary school students (in the North and South of the State) and topics range from the water cycle and water catchments, to what hydropower and renewable energy is, to catering to your specific needs and what you’d like us to focus on.
You can also request to invite one of Hydro’s engineers, scientists, hydrologists, electricians or other expert to your classroom or to a Skype call to answer questions your students may have. We also offer lesson plans, activity books, and other resources on our website.
