Showcase Visits

Showcase Visits: Seeing is Believing

Site visits are among the most impactful professional development (PD) opportunities to expose, inspire, and motivate school leaders and practitioners to implement blended instructional practices. RBL participants are invited to visit pilot campuses to "see" blended learning strategies in action and learn from teachers and campus leaders about their experiences.  All showcase visits will include an overview of the district and campus approach to blended learning, a visit to classrooms to observe blended learning in action, a teacher panel and time for questions.

Virtual Site Visit Professional Development:

The Blended and Personalized Learning at Work: See Schools in Action Series, developed by The Learning Accelerator (TLA), provides a unique opportunity to virtually explore numerous blended learning campuses.

Using the TLA virtual case studies, RBL developed this self-directed 3.5 hour PD opportunity to encourage RBL sites to gather a group of colleagues and collectively explore blended learning campuses and classrooms virtually. The self-directed format allows each team to work through the content at a convenient time and pace. The PD is structured in 5 steps and includes independent work and two group sessions intended to be led by a RBL district or campus leader either in person or virtually.

Key learning objectives include:
