Inquiry/Topic: Science - Material World Weeks 2-5
We will be putting on our detective hats to learn about Forensic Science in the first part of the term.
Our scientists will also be investigating how batteries and rockets work.

Passion Projects Weeks 6-10

Children will have the opportunity to apply their values and capabilities as they plan and pursue their own area of interest.


Literacy
Reading and writing will link closely to our Inquiry/Topic programmes with a focus on Mysteries.
A key focus is developing decoding and comprehension skills through personal and instructional reading.

Maths
Numeracy - individual classes will revise areas of number that students need to revisit (Addition and Subtraction/Multiplication and Division/Proportions and Ratios)

The Arts
There will be a variety of performing arts and visual art projects centred around our inquiry topics.

Te Ao Maori
Purakau stories about the Atua/God Tane.
Waiata and Te Reo language.
