Rebekah Peddy has overseen this camp from its very first year in 2009. She is the heart of the camp in addition to being the Producer and Director. She spends time way beyond the start of camp gathering materials and coming up with ideas for set, costumes, direction, blocking, lighting, sound, and more. She devotes so much time and love to this camp each year. During camp Rebekah is involved in all aspects and oversees all tasks while also Directing the show. She is the glue and creative vision for each production.
During the school year besides already brainstorming ideas for camp, she is also the Director for Cascia Hall's Performing Arts Center. There she directs both plays and musicals for the Middle School and Upper School, as well as teaches courses during the school year. She also works as an acting coach helping her students from all over town prepare for competitions, auditions, upcoming performances, or techniques.
FUN FACT: She is also a seasoned actor who has toured internationally.
Taylor Love Tate started working at the camp from the beginning while she was attending Cascia Hall in 2009 and graduated in 2010. There have only been two years she was unable to work at camp. She is heavily involved in all the work before and during camp. Taylor oversees the creative direction, helps with the overall management of camp, maintains the website, creates content and manages our social media and other marketing efforts, oversees messaging to parents, and more. Additionally during camp, she helps build and manage props, sets, and costumes. During the show, she helps with quick changes and scene changes.
In addition to working at this camp, she is also hired freelance to work the Cascia Hall musicals. Her full-time job is running her creative services company, Taylor Love Creative, which offers graphic design, web design, social media, marketing, and other creative services to businesses locally and abroad.
Fun Fact: She studied the major of Theatre & Acting at Oklahoma City University.
Heather Hall Newman has been the Choreographer for many of ours shows Charlie Brown (2009), School House Rock (2010), 101 Dalmatians (2012), The Little Mermaid (2016), Aladdin (2017), Moana (2021), Peter Pan (2022), Annie (2023), and High School Musical (2024). She is now our on-staff Choreography Director. She devotes time before and during camp preparing all the choreography for the show. She thinks not only of the moves needed for the song but also of ways to highlight campers special talents or props needed to enhance the choreography of a scene. She makes learning choreography fun but she also challenges campers to get out of their comfort zones in which they learn they are capable of more than they thought. She makes sure every camper is prepared and even breaks down complex choreography for any camper who needs it.
When she is not working at camp, she is kept busy being a full-time mom while also doing contract work for directing, choreography, and acting.
Fun fact: her daughter, Zelda, made her first stage debut at 6 years old in Peter Pan at our camp in 2022.
Laura Zenthoefer has been our Music Director ever since 101 Dalmatians (2012). She has an amazing ability to empower and teach our campers music in such a short amount of time. She leads campers in vocal exercises, and teaches some techniques, in addition to going over the music to create the beautiful blend of voices you will hear in our shows. During the show, she can be seen conducting the students throughout the show to ensure they are keeping the correct pace with the music, saying the correct lyrics, and hitting their vocal cues.
Laura has a Bachelor's in Vocal/General Music Education from The University of Tulsa. During the school year, Laura is the Elementary Music Teacher for Moore Elementary in Union Public Schools. She has been a teacher for 22 years. Besides teaching 500 students grades K-5th, she also directs assembly performances, grade level musicals, and after school honor choir.
Fun fact: her daughters have both been involved with camp for years as campers and a DA.
Wythe Dodson began her involvement with camp while attending Cascia Hall and working for services hours at 101 Dalmatians (2012), Willy Wonka (2013), and Cinderella (2015). She graduated Cascia Hall Preparatory School in 2015 and continued volunteering in college each summer at this camp too. She became a staff member in 2018. Her responsibilities include overseeing and managing all DAs and training them for their various jobs, managing and organizing the backstage crew during the performances and assigning tasks, helping with props and scene changes, and assisting in various other tasks and duties before and during camp.
She is currently an 8th Grade Social Studies teacher at Childers Middle School at Broken Arrow Public School.
Maggie Fox started her involvement with camp first as a camper performing in School House Rock (2010), 101 Dalmatians (2012), and Willy Wonka (2013). She began helping for service hours starting in 2014-2017, then continued on to a staff position from 2018 until the present. She attended Cascia Hall Preparatory and graduated in 2017. During camp, Maggie helps oversee some of the camp operations, prepares the program for the show, and helps oversee DAs. During the performances, she helps backstage with the crew moving set pieces.
She is currently a 6th Grade English teacher at Monte Cassino.
