Tech Tools

Here is a list of some of our favorite extensions. (Click here to see the list below) Remember, extensions can be found on the WEB STORE.

YouTube Ad Blocker: Do you hate the ad that automatically plays before a YouTube video? This is one of my favorite extensions! Install it and forget about it. It automatically blocks ads and banners when you play YouTube videos, even if you have the video embedded on another site.

Screencastify: a tool that can use your webcam (if desired) and can capture what you do on your computer screen. Can also use the drawing tools to write on websites with recording. Links with your Google account. Videos will be saved to Google drive and are very easy to share to YouTube channel.

Jamboard: an interactive and collaborative digital whiteboard that allows multiple users to share in real time. Jamboards can include text, images, and websites.

Page Marker: an extension that allows you to write on a website! The annotations can be saved as a downloaded image.

Keep: This is part of the Google suite. It's an app, extension and website (the trifecta!) It also links with your Gmail and Google calendar. It's like digital sticky notes that follow you around. You can collaborate and share your notes. You can save almost anything and organize notes with labels.

Hangouts: A messaging system in Google. You can use it to text, make phone calls and video chat. Can have many people in a meeting at once. Can have a chat window open in video calls, and can send attachments in video calls. Links up with Gmail and Calendar.

Refine: Cleans up web pages so students stay focused and don't get overwhelmed by distractions.
