When it's time to Zoom...
Teacher will: Click on Virtual Classroom from your navigation bar. You will be prompted with a button to Open a New Tab. Click that. Open up your Zoom meeting and Join with Audio. You have now joined your Virtual Classroom. You can share your screen and complete the lesson you have planned for the day.
Students will: First make sure they have the zoom app on their Chromebook (pretty sure this is a forced app that automatically shows up on all student Chromebooks.) They will make sure they are signed into Zoom with their school account. They will click on Virtual Classroom from the navigation bar. They will also be prompted with a button to Open a New Tab. They need to click that. They will automatically be in the waiting room and get a message that says, "Please wait, the meeting host will let you in soon." Or if you haven't opened the meeting yet they'll get a message that says "Please wait for the host to start this meeting."
Teacher will: see if anyone is in the waiting room. As they log in, you'll get a pop up to let them in. Click accept. You can ask them to start their video, you can allow them to share their screen, there are a variety of ways to use the tools in Zoom to teach your virtual students.
