Thespian Points System
Record your hours spent working in the theatre. 10 hours= 1 Thespian Point.
Point Maximums (log hours up to maximum):
Acting in a full-length play/musical = Up to 8 points
Stage Management for a full-length play/musical = Up to 8 points
Technician in a full-length play/musical (run crew, costume crew, lighting crew, sound crew, designer etc) = Up to 4 points per role (example: lighting designer and lighting operator) / Up to 8 points total
Writing Original One-Act Play (produced) = Up to 4 points
Directing One-Act Play = Up to 4 points
Acting in a One-Act Play = Up to 4 points
Other = Record Hours and see Mrs. Duffy with questions
Set Point Amounts (you do not need to log hours, you may simply add the points):
Participation in Thespian Meetings = 0.1 Point per meeting
Participating in a theatre festival or contest (Regionals, State, etc) : 3 points each
Thespian Officer = 6 points

Keep Record of your hours throughout the school year. Stay organized. Keep your record in a notebook or a spreadsheet.
Print and fill out this form. You only need to fill out front side once. If you need more spaces or if you have turned in the front side in a previous school year, print out the back side only (as many copies as you need). Transfer your hours into points, abiding by the maximum points above. You must turn in this sheet by May 20th to earn Thespian points for the school year.
