Abstract: This presentation looks into ghostwriting and authoring as undetectable practices among EFL/ESL students within the academia. Although there have been a number of plagiarism technology detection software, ghostwriting, however, has increasingly become a prevalent phenomenon. Presentation argues for alternative multidimensional approaches for fighting and curbing ghostwriting as undetectable form of plagiarism and contract cheating. The presentation offers some practical tips for handling and minimizing ghostwriting practices among student writers.
