Children's Literature Festival

Date: April 19, 2018

Venue: Rustaq College of Education

Coordinator: Zakaria Younus Salem Al Hashmi (ELT student)

Activities: bilingual welcome, poem recitation in both Arabic and English, a satirical play, stand up comedy, radio drama, storytelling, puppets and shadows theater, entertaining language games

Phonics Station

Date: December 4, 2018

Coordinators: Zakaria Al-Hashmi and Zahra Al-Adawi (ELT students)

Activities: The event was divided into four main sub-sections: Letter Sounds and Formation (led by Hafsa) , Blending (led by Abdullah Al-Balushi), Segmenting (led by Sara Al-Shiyadi) , Tricky Words (led by Ahmed Al-Qasmi).
