Our students had an engaging and motivating experience working with Dr. Elizabeth Gerbi. She spent time with all of the 6-12 Choral groups, a theatre class and facilitated a wonderful workshop for students interested in pursuing the performing arts field. In addition, she also provided Master Classes for our students preparing for NYSSMA. As a NYSSMA Adjudicator Dr. Gerbi had a big impact on helping students prepare for their upcoming auditions by not only performing for an experienced adjudicator but also developing stronger stage presence and comprehending the meaning behind their evaluations. The students enjoyed her energetic teaching style and reflected on how quickly they improved individually as well as an ensemble. As a music educator, it was wonderful to see all our students accomplish so much in just two days. They made us proud by showing up prepared and being open to all the coaching Dr. Gerbi had to offer. As a result, our performing arts groups sound even more refined, confident, mature and professional.
