Convenience - anything that saves or simplifies work, adds to one's ease or comfort, etc.

  • These are the tools you absolutely need in your kitchen; the ones you’ll reach for more often than you think. Whether you’re baking a cake or stirring up a batch of cookies, make sure you have these tools on hand before getting started.

Cutting Tools

  • Includes different types of knives, spatula, kitchen scissors, pastry blender, cookie cutter, and pastry wheels.

Pastry Blender

  • is a cooking utensil used to mix a hard (solid) fat into flour in order to make pastries.

Cookie Cutter

  • A cutting tool for use in making cookie patterns cut into dough to form the shape of a holiday or seasonal objects such as an angel, a pumpkin, a star, a tree, or a snowman.

Pastry Wheel

  • A kitchen utensil used for cutting pastry dough as it is being formed and prepared for baking

Pastry Cloth & Rolling Pin

  • Course linen towel can serve as a pastry cloth

  • The rolling pin may be covered with a linen cloth to prevent sticking while rolling.

Cooling Racks

  • Prevent witting

Pastry Brush

  • Used for applying melted shortening, eggs, milk to wash the dough, and is also used for grease the baking pan.

Electric Mixer

  • A mixer is a kitchen utensil that uses a gear-driven mechanism to rotate a set of beaters in a bowl containing the food to be prepared.

Rotary Egg Beater

  • Rotary beaters are probably most commonly used to beat egg whites and whip cream, but have been largely replaced by electric alternatives.

Mixing Bowl

  • Mixing bowls are used for storage, working doughs, mixing dry ingredients, mixing salads, organizing, and more.

  • The kitchen needs several bowls in different sizes.

Parchment Paper

  • Spreading a sheet over your pan before you start baking cookies will make clean-up much easier and prevent your baked goods from sticking to the pan.


Weighing Scale

  • Very useful in baking, when large amount of ingredients are to be measured.

Cake Tester

  • Used to test if the cake being baked is already done.

Timer

  • Covers very handy it reminds you to check on the mixing or baking time.
