Level 1: Identifies what an interval is and how it functions in music. Distinguishes between whole steps and half steps.
Level 2: With ease, identifies the Quantities of varying intervals.
Level 3: (requires Level 3 or above of Tonality), identifies the Perfect, diminished, and Augmented Qualities of Intervals with the Quantity of 1, 4, 5, and 8).
Level 4: (requires Level 3 or above of Tonality) Identifies the Major and minor Qualities of Intervals with the Quantity of 2, 3, 6, and 7. Equates an interval of a Maj2 to a whole step, and a min2 to a half step.
Level 5: Can identify, by knowing an interval’s quantity the possibilities for its quality (whether it can only be Perfect, Augmented, or diminished, versus Major or minor). Can easily invert an interval and find its opposite quantity and quality.
