This year's Camp Hartford trip is

May 15th and 16th, 2025

For 33 years, the 5th graders have a tradition of going to the YMCA Camp in Boone, Iowa for an overnight camping trip.  While at the camp, the students are engaged in activities from the moment they step off the bus Thursday morning until they board them on Friday afternoon.  In the past, students have been able to do canoeing, horseback riding, and rock wall climbing as well as building shelters in the woods, dissecting owl pellets, learning about Iowa ecosystems in the stream and forests, bird watching, and community and teamwork building activities.  The trip teaches the students many life skills that are more effective in the safe environment of Y Camp than in a classroom, and it is consistently talked about as one of the best memories of Carlisle by older students.  Just ask them!
