Campers will get a chance to ride a horse! Y Camp has an outdoor riding arena when the weather is good, and an indoor arena if the weather is bad. Giddy-up!

Certified life guards will teach campers how to paddle a canoe, and then everyone will get a chance to try it out. We'll canoe around Y Camp's private lake and test out our teamwork skills!

Do you think shooting a bulls-eye looks easy? Well, here's your chance to try it for yourself! Campers will be instructed on how to properly and safely shoot a bow and arrow and get a chance to shoot for the target themselves.

Let's learn about the insects, invertebrates, and fish that live in streams... and then let's go find some! In this activity, you'll go down into a creek and catch critters that you may have never known existed!

It's a bird, it's a plane... no wait, it is a bird! Y Camp's own bird expert will teach campers about the birds in Iowa, then everyone gets binoculars and you'll go looking for them!

Ga ... ga ... BALL! Play this fun game with your friends, it's one of the most popular activities that we do at camp!

Question: When an owl eats a animal, what does it do with all of the bones and fir? Answer: It pukes them up! Campers are going to find owl pellets and take them apart to find the bones of the animal that the owl ate!

If you got lost in the woods and it was growing dark, would you be able to make your own shelter? You will be able to after this activity. The teachers will have campers build their own shelters out of sticks, leaves, and mud. Then, we'll put the shelters to the test!

This Y Camp led activity will have students taking a hike through the woods and learning about all of the cool plants and animals that are right here in our own back yards!
