Typically, at Easter people decorate eggs to give to each other as gifts. In class, you could teach your pupils about different colours and types of patterns (spotty, stripy, checked) and encourage them to decorate a paper or card egg cut out. You could also look at the patterns and colours that are made naturally on different birds' eggs and try to imitate some of them using different artistic techniques, such as paint flicking to make speckles.
