SOLAR THERMAL SYSTEM
The solar thermal system is a system which, by exploiting solar rays, transforms solar energy into thermal energy without producing harmful emissions.
The components that make up the solar thermal system are a solar collector, a storage tank (battery-powered to allow use even at night), an integration generator (for example a heat pump or a condensing boiler) and a control unit: each of these is connected to the others to guarantee the correct functioning of the entire system.
From the various analyses and observations carried out we have found that our school is powered by a methane/diesel boiler. Through its use, the latter releases substances that are harmful to the environment and to humans. We created this project with the aim of replacing the boiler currently in use with our solar thermal system. And all this could be easily achievable, considering that our school is already equipped with photovoltaic panels. In this way, thanks to renewable energy, our school could be pleasantly warm, in an ecological and convenient way.
A heat pump boiler for heating, you should know that these systems can also work for cooling the internal environments of buildings. In this case a reversible heat pump is required, furthermore the presence of a terminal compatible with this function is essential. The elements that allow you to use the heat pump for cooling are, for example, the underfloor radiant system or fan coils.
These heat pumps, in fact, can reverse the process, so the generator takes the heat present in the home and releases it outside to maintain high indoor comfort in the home. In this circumstance it becomes superfluous to use other cooling systems, with the possibility of eliminating, for example, the split air conditioner from the house and saving on energy costs.
