Dreamland Burning by Jennifer Latham. Tulsa author, Jennifer Latham tells the store of present day Rowan and past life William. Seventeen year old Rowan discovers a body in the floor of a building on her family's property. After some careful detective work, Rowan discovers the body may be from the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot Period and her interest is peaked. The story is told first through her eyes and the present day and then through the eyes of William who was a living, breathing person during the Tulsa Race Riot. The two time periods are artfully woven together to make a great read. The author uses her familiarity with Tulsa to encourage you want to read more. Ms. Core actually looked up places, names and people just to find out if what the author was really on target. Oddly, several of the places named in this one are real, making the reading of it even more fun.
