Rent From a local music store:
This is the best option to ensure that you get the instrument you want. I have provided the link to Canby Music's website below. There you can find rental prices and other information.
Rent from The School:
Ninety-One has a limited number of instruments to rent to students who may need a less expensive option. It is $100 to rent an instrument from the school for the year. This fee is waved if your student qualifies for free or reduced lunch. I do ask that if your family is able to afford it that you rent from a music store to leave the school instruments available for the students who need them.
School instruments will be distributed during the instrument rental night at the beginning of next Fall.
Buy a New or Used Instrument:
Purchasing an instrument, either new or used, can sometimes be the best option. There are many deals to be had on Facebook Marketplace or Ebay. I strongly recommend coming to me if this is the route you want to take because I can tell you the questions you need to ask and give you a better idea of how good a deal you are actually getting. Many used instruments need extensive work done that can be hard to see from an Ebay listing. I can also tell you what brands to look for.
If you are planning on buying a new instrument, I also suggest getting my input. While the cheap instruments on Amazon or at Costco might sound like a good idea, they are poorly made and will make participating in band extremely difficult. Some shops will not even repair those instruments as they are of such a low quality. I can give you a list of brands and websites if you are looking to buy an instrument.
