Taking Action - April 25-29

This week students are:

  • Practicing their presentations

  • Reflecting and acting on feedback given

  • Finalizing any plans for Action (Action may take place during or after PYPX concludes)

  • Adding finishing touches to their Learning Journeys

  • Setting up their presentation space at home

  • Presenting to groups of students, teachers, mentors & parents.

Making Sense - April 18-22

This week the students are:

  • Editing Digital Presentation

  • Action - complete how action will be shared

  • Meeting with Mentors

  • Reflecting on their Learning Journey

  • Practice giving Presentation

  • Receiving and acting on feedback

  • Individual Artistic Expression (optional)

Making Sense - April 11-15

This week the students are:

  • Making Sense of Research

  • Research Follow-up

  • Revise, Edit, Publish Written Expression

  • Plan Action

  • Take Action (if doing it during PYPX)

  • Continuing to meet with mentors

  • Collecting Primary sources (interviews & surveys)

  • Reflecting on their Learning Journey

  • Complete Digital Presentation

  • Individual Artistic Expression (optional)

Sorting Out - April 4 - 8

This week the students are:

  • Working on their Written Expression

  • Continuing Research

  • Planning their Action

  • Considering how they will present

  • Continuing to meet with mentors

  • Organizing interviews

  • Reflecting on their Journey so far

Sorting Out - March 28 - April 1

This week the students are:

  • Contacting and meeting with their Mentors

  • Collecting primary and secondary sources

  • Building on their research

  • Thinking about how they might hook their audience

  • Beginning to think about action

  • Reflecting in their Thinking Groups
