The closing and opening time will be Noon for each holiday. We ask that the parents make accommodation or travel arrangements for their children in advance. Please email nsato@canacad.ac.jp with the details of the arrangements two (2) weeks prior to the departure.
Please note that that if the COVID situation changes, some of these dates may be altered.
The house will close on the following holidays.
Fall Break: Oct. 22 (Saturday) Noon - October 30 (Sunday) -- *No school on Monday, the 31st, so dormies may choose to return on Monday.
Winter Break: Dec. 17 (Saturday) - Jan. 8 (Sunday) -- *No school on Monday, the 9th. Dormies may choose to return on Monday, Jan 9.
Spring Break: Mar. 18 (Saturday) 12:00 Noon – Mar. 26 (Sunday) 12:00 Noon
Summer Holiday: June 15 (Thursday) Noon - August Dorm Opening (TBA)
In addition, there are two shorter school holidays. Holiday supervision will be limited to the 10PM check-in by one of the dorm parents. Students may remain in the dormitory by submitting an agreement signed by a parent.
Transportation TO and FROM the Nearby Airports
Arranging transportation for holidays is each family's responsibilities. For your convenience, here are the transportation methods to and from the nearby airports. We recommend booking bus and taxis in advance to secure seats.
Kansai Airport Limousine Bus from Sheraton Hotel on
Rokko Island
The cost is 1,850 yen for each way. You may book a seat one month ahead of the departure.

MK Taxi
This is a bit expensive but the easiest option (Around 7,000 yen for Itami/ Around 13,000 yen for Kansai International Airport IF booked in advance).
Kansai Airport Limousine Bus to/from Sannomiya
Some students choose to take the airport bus from Sannomiya. It takes an extra step, but the schedule is more flexible. (2,000 yen to Kansai) There are more than 20 buses leaving each day from 4:40AM to 8:30PM.
