Each spring, we work to get Camp ready for the summer. It’s a lot of work that includes de-winterizing the dining hall, opening the pool, and raising the tents.
Matt, Camp Director and Operations Director, coordinates and handles this important (and rewarding!) prep work, with help from the Onas community. During our Spring Volunteer Workday, Onas families, campers, counselors, alumni, and friends pitched in to clear paths, move bunk beds, and stuff envelopes for the camper newsletter. We accomplished a lot together and had a wonderful time getting Camp ready for the summer!
Matt says, “Despite the weather, we had a really good group that was ready to take on everything with a smile. It was wonderful to see several families - Board families, staff families, and camper families, including a new camper family. All the work that was done was really valuable. I can’t express enough how much of a difference it made.”
