The ‘Difficulty of creation’ risk multiplier is determined as a function of habitat distinctiveness and condition, subsequently resulting in categorisation into three discrete bins of ‘Low’ to ‘High’ corresponding to a three-point scale of ‘.67’ to ‘1’ which represents the numerical coefficients with which the former two are multiplied. A lower coefficient would yield a final lower HBU composite score, while the converse is true. Thus, the product of habitat distinctiveness, condition and coefficient consequently comprise HBU delivered for each habitat assessed.
