"The Cardinal Pride Band program has won numerous awards and accolades on and off the field. They were Class 4A Champions at Cameron’s Marchfest Competition last year and just last spring, they received 1st place in Concert Band Performance at Universal Studios, Florida. They have consecutive 1 ratings at State contest and District and State level individual performers. "In the 4 years Mr. Morris has been with Excelsior Springs, the band program has seen steady growth in student numbers. The band has consistently earned Superior and Exemplary ratings at State Large Group Festival. The program itself has become a strong aspect of Excelsior Springs, with many students or small ensembles performing at events around town."

"In the Lathrop School District we believe PRIDE is visible! We act with integrity every time we approach our instruments. The Lathrop Band Program has developed a tradition of Exemplary performance. Lathrop Bands regularly place high at area marching and large group festivals. We love hosting guest clinics and composers and are very proud of our large participation in area honor bands. Highlights from last spring include, 14 MSHSAA District gold medals at solo and ensemble, attending 3 Large Group Music Festivals with 7 "straight one" judges sheet! In May, both Lathrop High School and Middle School Bands earned First In Class at the Worlds of Fun Festival of Music, making Lathrop the only district in years to sweep the MS and HS divisions!"

“In 2024, The Screaming Eagles were the overall field show champions and the Smith-Cotton Invitational, 3rd place at the Lee’s Summit North Festival, and 1st at the Cameron Marchfest in field and drumline. The Liberty North Wind Symphony and Symphonic Bands performed at the Music For All Festival hosted at UMKC. The Wind Symphony performed at the MMEA Conference in 2018 and 2023. The Screaming Eagles Marching Band will be marching in the 2027 National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C.”

"Hailing from Maryville, Missouri, the Spoofhound Marching Band proudly carries on one of the most unique traditions in American high school history. The “Spoofhound” name dates back to the 1920s, when a Maryville coach described his scrappy, determined team as “spoofhounds” — a term he borrowed from a strange-looking novelty toy dog that was popular at the time. The toy looked odd but tough, much like the team’s never-give-up spirit. The name stuck, and ever since, Maryville has worn it as a badge of pride. Today, the Spoofhound Marching Band continues that same legacy — fierce, creative, and unmistakably original — representing their school and community with energy, precision, and true Spoofhound pride!"

In 2023, their outstanding achievements showcased their talent and hard work: they earned 5th place in parade at CMU Band Day and 3rd place at Cameron March, while their indoor drumline secured impressive 5th and 4th places at Carrollton and CMU Band Day respectively, and a notable 2nd place at Cameron MarchFest. The indoor color guard demonstrated exceptional skill, winning 1st place at both Carrollton and CMU Band Day and achieving 2nd at Cameron Marchfest. "The Trojan Marching Band has served as the musical ambassadors for Park Hill High School for over 60 years. The Park Hill bands perform annually at local, regional, and state festivals. Their 2023 competitive slate included performances at Smith-Cotton, Lee’s Summit North, and Cameron High Schools. In addition to the marching band, Park Hill includes three curricular concert bands, a jazz ensemble, pep band, and various other small ensembles.”
