Cameron, Missouri  is located 35 miles north of Liberty on I-35, and 35 miles east of St. Joseph on US Hwy 36. From its early railroad history, where it was the intersection of the Chicago and Southwestern Railroad and the Rock Island Railroad, to its current location at the crossroads of I-35 and US Hwy 36, Cameron has been referred to as the "Crossroads of the Nation."

The Cameron Marchfest parade will form at historic McCorkle Park, the summer home of the Cameron Municipal Band, the oldest tax-supported band in the state of Missouri.  Drumline and Color Guard events will take place in the recently updated high school gymnasium. Field show competition will be held on the former home of the Missouri Wesleyan College Owls, making it the longest continually used football field in Missouri.  Renamed in 2005,  Dave Goodwin Memorial Field boasts a new Sprinturf surface and an air-conditioned press box (2017).  Between the high school and football stadium lies beautiful Recreation Park, an area for families, equipped with four shelter houses (with electricity) and three large playground structures, including Moose Station, a play area for children with physical challenges, one of the few of its kind in the four-state area.
