Need to record a screencast but don't want to download any software? ScreenPal is fast, free and easy to use. Capture your computer screen, add a webcam and your voice for narration. It's great for presentations, video tutorials, product demos, games and more. You can create your screencast and upload to a variety of streaming services or save it as a video file.
Go to their website at https://www.screenpal.com.
Press the "Start recording for free" button. You will be taken to the Screen Recorder page
Press the "Launch Free Recorder" button. A popup will appear
Press "Allow" to launch the recorder.
Review the message that shows you that the recorder has launched.
Drag to record your screen.
Adjust the size of your recorder by dragging the sides of the box. Alternatively, you can select a size on the menu by clicking "Size".
Choose to record your screen, webcam or both. You can also choose your audio sources.
Press the record button to start recording. A 3-2-1 countdown will appear. The screen bars will turn red when you are recording.
Recording
Press the blue pause button to stop recording.
Preview the screencast by clicking the "Play" button.
Click "Done" when you are finished recording.
Wait for your recording to display, after you click "Done".
Type in a title for your recording.
Find the menu to the right of your recording. You can choose to save your recording as a video file, upload to ScreenPal, or publish directly to streaming services, including YouTube. Premium version also include Vimeo, Drop Box and Google Drive.
Click on "Save as Video File" to save your screencast as an mp4, avi, flv or gif file. Choose the type and enter the filename; choose a folder location to save your video file and pick the quality of the video. Hit "Publish" when you are ready to save.
