In Solidworks you can screen capture the graphics area of the active window or viewport onto the clipboard.

To capture the screen:

1. Click Image Capture (Screen Capture toolbar) or from the Drop-down menu, select View, -> Screen Capture, -> Image Capture.
2. Paste the image into another application such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.
