By default, Google Chrome downloads to the Downloads folder for your account. You can choose a location on your computer where downloads should be saved by default or pick a specific destination for each download. These instructions will show you how to change the default download folder location in Google Chrome.

Click the menu button ⋮ in the upper-right corner of your Chrome browser window.
Select Settings.
3. Scroll to the bottom of Settings and Click Advanced section.

4. Click Downloads.
5. Toggle the option Ask where to save each file before downloading to the off position.
6. Set your preferred download location in the Location box above by clicking Change if desired.
Note: By default, Google Chrome will save to your downloads folder. If this is your preferred location you may omit step 6.

Zipped (compressed) files take up less storage space and can be transferred to other computers more quickly than uncompressed files. In Windows, you work with zipped files and folders in the same way that you work with uncompressed files and folders. Combine several files into a single zipped folder to more easily share a group of files. To zip or compress the files, follow the steps below.

Select all of the files and/or folders you wish to compress.
Right click and select Send To: > Compressed (Zipped) Folder.

4. Email it to Mr. Cochran (dcochran@camanchecsd.org).
Be sure to attach the zipped folder of your assignment!

Locate the files on my web site. Choose one of the two options to download your file(s). Note - The option you choose to download a file may depend on the type of file you are downloading.

Option 1: Right click on image file, select Save Image as...
(Note - This example we are using Google Chrome. Context menu in other browsers will be slightly different.)
In the Save As dialog box, browse to your file's destination folder and click Save.

Option 2: (continued) When the image opens up, left click the Download Button.

Zipped (compressed) files take up less storage space and can be transferred to other computers more quickly than uncompressed files. In Windows, you work with zipped files and folders in the same way that you work with uncompressed files and folders. Combine several files into a single zipped folder to more easily share a group of files. Zipped folders MUST be unzipped. Windows allows you to peak inside a zipped folder. This does not mean it is actually unzipped. Follow the steps below to extract or unzip your files

To unzip (extract) files or folders from a zipped file:
Locate the zipped folder that you want to unzip or extract.

To unzip a single file or folder, open the zipped folder, then drag the file or folder from the zipped folder to a new location.

To unzip all files or folders, double-click on the zip folder to open it. A window will open with all the files or folders inside.
Select the "Extract All Files" button at the top of the window.
An extraction wizard appears that walks users through the process of extracting a zip file.
By default Windows will extract the files to a folder that has the same name and stored in the same location as the zip folder. You also have the option to specify a different location by selecting the "Browse" button.
Select "Extract".
The zipped files will be extracted to a specified location.
