Khan Academy Basics
If you have an existing account and need to add the class:
1. click on your username at the top right of the screen
2. click on learner home
3. click on teachers on the left side of the screen (at the bottom)
4. Click on Join a Class
5. Enter the class code
*Please make sure that your username has your last name in it and is easily recognizable as you if you have a sibling.
To create a new account on Khan Academy follow the steps below:
1. Go to www.khanacademy.org
2. Click on Learners
3. Select enter a class code.
4. Enter the class code and click ADD
5. Click on create a new account
6. Enter your date of birth
7. Click on continue with Google
8. Enter your Calvary Gmail credentials
How to locate and complete assignments
After you enter the class code for your class, you will be able to access the assignments for your class. The class name will show up on the left side of the “learner home” page. Usually the new class will show up in a few minutes, but if the class doesn't show up within a day of you joining the class, please let Miss Kalli know.
Under each class name, you will have a link to the assignments. You do not need to complete any content that is not specifically listed under the assignments. As you complete the questions in each assignment, most will have a link at the bottom to a video that can help you if you have trouble. The videos will open a new tab. You must have at least a 65% on each assignment. If you do not have a 65% on your first attempt, please try watching a the suggested video and try the assignment again. Let Miss Kalli know if you have tried an assignment multiple times and are unable to get the required grade
All assignments must be completed by Sept 1.
