PE Kit/Uniform

New PE kit options!

We have listened to student voice and added a number of additional items that can be worn in core PE. The sweatshirt was requested as an alternative to the current 1/2 zip top. There is a new waterproof jacket, and we have also added some alternate leggings and shorts. For those students taking GCSE PE or Sport Science, there are Exam t-shirts available to buy. For those students in the Sports Leadership Academy, there is a special Leaders hoody that they are eligible to purchase. We look forward to seeing the students enjoy these new items of kit and will shortly be displaying some samples for students to look at to help with sizing. Please visit https://kitworld.uk/product-category/school-clubs/callington-community-college/ to see our online shop. Please note, these are all optional, additional items and do NOT replace the current College PE kit.

Students should not be wearing non-College jumpers/hoodys in lessons. Students are permitted to wear base-layers with long sleeves under their College t-shirt, should they need to cover their arms. New mid-layer options will shortly be available to purchase. Watch this space!

KIT POLICY:

Should a student forget their PE kit, they will be issued with an RTL warning for missing equipment/kit. In this instance, spare kit will be offered to enable them to continue to engage fully with their lesson.- this will have been washed and quarantined to comply with COVID protocols. A student that refuses to borrow the spare kit without good reason will receive a second RTL warning and attend the RTL room, as per College policy. If your child is unable to take part physically in their PE lesson, we require a note from home to this effect. We still expect students to change for their lesson, as they will take on an alternative role (coach, scorer, leader) and will also have dry clothes to put on, should their lesson be outside in inclement weather conditions. Students must remove all jewelry and tie their hair up in order to participate safely in any physical activity. Failure to do so, along with wearing incorrect items of clothing, will constitute an RTL warning. Maintaining the highest standards of kit and equipment is a key priority for the department, and safety of everyone involved is of paramount importance.
