National Junior Honor Society

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle school students. It is more than just an honor roll; NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. For more info on NJHS please visit their website at

https://www.nhs.us/utility/about-us.

Students will be nominated by their demonstration of excellence in the areas of:

• Scholarship

• Leadership

• Service

• Character

• Citizenship

For the Fall Semester, 7th and 8th grade returning students with a 3.0 GPA and higher may be nominated by their teacher to join.

Student Government

All CAVA middle school students are invited to get involved and join our student government program. Members serve as liaisons between the student body and teachers/administrators to plan service projects, outings and community building activities.

Your teacher will send out information about upcoming meetings and events. Check it out!
