Face to Face Sessions

Three face to face sessions are offered daily at the Angel Center (1018 Ashe Avenue NW, Lenoir). The sessions are 3 hours long. Registration is required and limited. Register in Sched. Waiting lists are created automatically in Sched.

Introduction to Oculus - Visit the Education Foundation's Angel Center and learn creative ways to integrate Oculus into your content areas. Participants will learn how to use Oculus, explore several programs, and brainstorm ideas on how best to align available programs to content areas.. Lunch will be provided by the Education Foundations Inc. of Caldwell County. Capacity is limited.

Introduction to Robotics - Increasing Classroom Engagement - Visit the Education Foundation's Angel Center and learn how to code with robotics, Participants will explore coding and robotics during this three hour session. Lunch will be provided by the Education Foundations Inc. of Caldwell County. Capacity is limited.

STEM Lab Applications in PK-12 Classrooms - Visit the Education Foundation's Angel Center and learn how you utilize the newly constructed STEM Lab Workshop to help develop ideas for your classroom. Participants will experience hands-on exploration with a variety of power tools, wood-working equipment, and become familiar with a beginner-level CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) machine. If you sponsor a Google Gravity Games team, you will not want to miss this session. Lunch will be provided by the Education Foundations Inc. of Caldwell County. Capacity is limited.

Sessions run from 10:00 to 2:00 on Tuesday, June 15 to allow for all to watch the Keynote session. Come to the Angel Center at 9:00 to participate in the Keynote.

Sessions run from 9:00 to 1:00 on Wednesday, June 16, and Thursday, June 17.

The Education Foundation of Caldwell County, Inc. will provide lunch daily for the participants.

Do I have to register? Register in Sched. Creating a Sched account is free.

How do I join? Join virtual sessions through the Zoom link in the session description in Sched.. Join at the scheduled time. Participants will be admitted about 10 minutes prior to the session start time.

Do I have to attend sessions everyday? No. Choose the sessions, days, and times that you want to attend.

What are the dates of the Showcase? Tuesday, June 15, Wednesday, June 16, and Thursday, June 17.

What times are the sessions? Sessions begin at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, and 12:00.

Where do I go for the Showcase? You can join the 60 minute sessions from virtually anywhere. You do not need to be in a school building to participate.

Do I get CEUs for attending live sessions? Yes, you will receive 0.1 CEU for each live session that you attend and complete the daily feedback form. Feedback links will be provided during each session. Attendees at the F2F sessions will receive 0.3 CEU upon completion of the feedback form.

Do I have to register in Timekeeper? No. Register in Sched.

How do I register for the door prize drawings? Complete the feedback form at the end of each session. Complete the form by 2:30 to be entered in the drawing.

How do I receive CEUs? Educational Program Services (EPS) will register and mark attendance for each session that you complete the attendance and feedback survey for. If you complete the survey following each session, you do NOT have to do anything else. If you don't work for Caldwell County Schools, a certificate will be mailed to you.

When will CEUs be applied/given? Caldwell County Schools employees should see the Showcase CEUs on their record in Timekeeper by the end of June 2021.
