This document is designed to support students applying to Korean universities for March 2026 admission through the Overseas. Korean Admissions Track; whether under the 2% track applicants or the 12 Year + Overseas track applicants, as well as the Special Early Action Track (수시).
It outlines key considerations and provides a comprehensive list of required documents to help ensure a smooth and well-organized application process.

Eligibility is the most important first step. Check which track applies to you:
Track Eligibility Competition
12-Year Track Completed Grades 1–12 entirely outside of Korea. No Quota: Often lighter competition; unlimited spots.
3-Year Track (2%) Lived abroad 3+ years with parents (including 1 year of HS). Competitive: Limited to 2% of total freshman intake.
Special Early Action Standard "Susi" (수시) for international graduates. 6-App Limit: Based on IB/AP/SAT; no CSAT required.
For students targeting March 2026 admission, the process begins in July 2025.
May 1, 2025: Final deadline to submit the CAG Records Request Form (to be processed before summer break).
July 6, 2025: IBDP Results released.
Early July 2025: Application window opens for 12-Year and 3-Year tracks.
September 10, 2025: Special Early Action (SEA) applications begin.
March 2026: University Semester begins.
The CAG College Counseling (OCC) team will support you in collecting these. Please allow 2 weeks for processing.
From the Student/Family:
[ ] Proof of Relationship: Family Census or Birth Certificates.
[ ] Entry/Exit Records: Official record from the Korean Immigration Office.
[ ] Apostille: All non-Korean transcripts/diplomas must be authenticated.
[ ] Personal Statement: Required for Yonsei (12Y) and Korea University.
From CAG (Request via OCC):
[ ] Official Transcripts: Both American and Guatemalan versions (K-12).
[ ] Enrollment Certificates: Proving dates of study abroad.
[ ] Recommendation Letters: (e.g., SNU requires 2 letters; KAIST requires 1 online letter).
[ ] School Profile: Explaining the rigor of the CAG curriculum.

Q: Do I need to take the Suneung (CSAT)? A: Typically No. As an international applicant, your admission is based on GPA, IB/AP scores, and extracurriculars.
Q: Can I apply to more than 6 schools? A: If you are in the 12-Year Track, there is no limit. If you are in the 3-Year Track, you are limited to 6 universities.
Q: What computer should I use for applications? A: Important: Use a Windows-based laptop. Portals like Jinhakapply and Uwayapply often struggle with Mac/iOS.
