Attendance & Dismissal

How can you support your child?

  • Make sure that your child comes to school everyday knowing where they will go after they finish their activities and who will pick them up
  • If you have to make any changes to the regular routine, please share it with your child before coming to school so they are prepared.
  • Share exact day & location of the activity so that students are not confused. For example; if your child is doing Cooking, please tell them which day specifically and the room number.
  • We ask you to support your child/ren to keep track of their own dismissal plan. Add all info ASA dismissal information in the ASA Planner (check details below)

First Week of the session

KG Students:

At 3:10 - KG students will be picked up by their ASA Teachers from their KG classes and escorted to their ASA designated areas. This routine remain the same throughout the session.

Students in grades 1-5:

  • On the first day of each activity, students meet their ASA instructors in the lunchroom. They will be escorted to their ASA classes. Starting their second class onward, students will go independently to their ASA locations.
  • Students who have Production, Swimming or Choir may go directly to the Drama room, Pool, Music room.
  • Advise your child to come to the activities office or the elementary office if they’re not sure where to go.

Dismissal from ASA Classes

KG Students:

At 4 :00 pm, students will be taken to the dismissal location presubmitted by parents

Dismissal Plan options:

  • Bus : students will be taken to the area located by ES Office to meet their bus monitor
  • Parent: meet their child/ren by the tree in the ES Lawn. Students will be taken to the activities office if parents were a few minutes late.
  • Gate : students will be taken to the gate to be picked up by the person who has their Designated card

Students in grades 1-5:

At 4 :00 pm, students walk independently to the dismissal location presubmitted by parents

Dismissal Plan options:

  • Bus: students walk to the area located by the ES Office to meet their bus monitor, swimming students go directly to the back gate to meet their bus monitors
  • Parent: students meet their parents in a specific area. Example; the benches next to the KG playground.
  • Gate: students walk to the gate to be picked up by the person who has their Designated card.

Bus Riders

  • We will be sharing the asa schedules with the Transportation Department.
  • Students who have activities will not be allowed on the 3:20 bus.
  • Buses depart from the back gate at 4:20 sharp and do not wait for late comers.
  • If a student misses the 4:20 bus, parents will have to arrange for pick up.
  • NO 4:20 buses are available on Tuesdays .

ASA Attendance

  1. Students must commit to attending their confirmed activities.
  2. If you decided to cancel any of the activities, please submit the attendance form in the below link asap so we can enroll other students from the waiting lists.
  3. If a student is absent, they may not join their ASA that day.
  4. If a student is absent from school, parents do not need to submit the form as we receive that information from the office.
  5. If your child will miss their ASA class for any reason, you need to submit the below ASA Attendance 24 hours in advance so we can inform their teachers & transportation office if needed.
  6. Students who miss 2 unexcused ASA classes without prior notification, may risk being removed from that activity and parents will be notified. They may not join other activities in the same session.

After receiving the confirmed ASA schedule, use the ASA Planner to fill with your child’s asa schedule.

In the case of any changes in the regular dismissal plan, parents, must submit a dismissal change form in skyward. Please click here for detailed instructions on how to submit the form.

Designated Student Pick Up Cards

We are accepting parent requests for designated student pick up cards. Our goal is for all ES families, who have their child picked up by someone other than a parent, with cards.
